The tribunal

The tribunal

The appointments of the members of the defense tribunals for the TFG are sent from the Secretariat of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.

The President of the tribunal will set a date and place of the defense of the projects within the established period in the calendar.

The Secretary of the tribunal will communicate the date and location of the public defense of the projects to the secretariat of the Faculty at least one week before the defense, while also specifying the order of the students’ presentations.

The members of the tribunal will have access to the subject “Treball fi de Grau” at the Virtual Campus, where they will find the reports they have to evaluate.

The President of the tribunal, if they consider it appropriate, can request printed copies of the report, in accordance with the petitions of the members of their tribunal.

The Secretary of the tribunal will gather, prior to the defense, the qualitative reports of the assigned projects to that tribunal, and the record of the defense.

The members of the tribunal have to agree to a numerical grade between 0 and 10. For the calculation of the grade, the members of the tribunal have to adjust to the established weighings in the teaching plan of the subject. With this purpose, with the record given there will be a document attached summarizing what is established in the teaching plan of the subject concerning evaluation.

The record has to specify if the project opts to Distinction. If this is the case, the tribunal will have to emmit a brief report which justifies this Honors suggestion. This report will be elevated to the tribunal in charge of granting High Honors.

Once finished the defense acts, the President of the tribunal will communicate the qualification to the TFG students assigned to their tribunal, will submit the record at the Secretariat, signed by all the members of the tribunal, and will communicate the qualification of the TFGs assigned to their tribunal to the TFG Coordinator so that they can publish it at the Virtual Campus.
