Double Degree in Mathematics – Business Administration

Curriculum

The University of Barcelona, from the Faculty of Economics and Business, offers a studies itinerary that allows obtaining the degrees of Mathematics (MAT) and Business administration (ADE) simultaneously, each with one specific Minor.

Studying the double itinerary and through subject recognition between the two degrees, you can obtain both with less than 480 credits. This double itinerary has the following general features:

  1. -There are 20 seats (admission exclusively by specific university pre-registration).
  2. – Schedule: morning (ADE) and afternoon (MAT), with classes in their respective faculties.
  3. – Total amount of credits to obtain: 390 / 396 (*).
  4. – Duration: 5 years and a half (11 semesters).

(*) There are serveral possibilities, but it’s necessary that, using the recognitions, the requirements for the two degrees are obtained separately.

1) Admission to this ADE-MAT degree is obtained, exclusively, by university preregistration.

2) This double degree is very demanding:

  • It takes a lot of dedication: 72 or 76 credits per year, instead of the 60 done in a single degree.
  • There is teaching both in the morning and in the afternoon, in different faculties. Time management is important.

3) To obtain information about the objectives of the studies, the competences they fulfill, the prospects of professional training and labor insertion, etc… look up the specific information of each of the two studies.
