Optional Credits and Credits Recognition

Credits recognition

There are subjects from both degrees that you do not have to take if you are in the double itinerary: they are recognized through the equivalency tables stipulated according to their contents and competences.

In the following tables, the subjects of the left column are taken in the double itinerary, while the ones on the right are recognized in the Mathematics degree (so you do not have to take them).

There are 2 tables for the 2009-10, 2010-11 or 2011-12 entry; and 2 tables for the entry from 2012-13.

Optative credits

The double Degree of Mathematics itinerary – Degree of Physics contains 18 credits of optional type (*). Each student will be able to choose, according to their individual preferences, which optional subjects to study, of both studies.

(*) For the students that entered the 2009-10, 2010-11 or 2011-12 they are 24 credits. Entry from 2012-13: 18 credits.

Entry from 2012-13

RECOGNITION FROM THE DOUBLE ITINERARY TO THE PHYSICS DEGREE

ATTENTION:

  1. The recognition of credits must be requested from each faculty’s secretary. They can be requested at any time, but it is not necessary to ask for it each course.
  2. However, in order to be entitled to the extra-ordinary examinations (article 15.3 of the corresponding regulations), you must request recognition when you finish the penultimate course of the itinerary.
  3. Check this link for the application deadlines and the dates of the calls, in case of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.
  4. Note that 36 optional credits of the mention of Physics are recognized. To complete the 42 required in the Mathematics Degree, it is recommended to take an optional subject of intensification in Mathematics.
