The Master in Advanced Mathematics is intended for graduate students with certificates or bachelor\u2019s degrees in Mathematics. It is also open to holders of other diplomas requiring a strong background in Mathematics.<\/p>\n

The master\u00a0 provides students with advanced knowledge, skills and methodological tools to pursue scientific or professional activities in the field of Mathematics and its applications. In particular, it introduces students to the world of research, in preparation for PhD studies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pre-enrolment for the course 2026-27: NOW CLOSED<\/strong> (see Admission<\/em><\/a>). <\/strong>Second period from May 11th to June 12th.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Study Program<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Students must complete a total 60 ECTS credits, divided into 45 credits of courses and 15 credits of the Master’s Final Project.\u00a0 Two of the courses are mandatory. The Master’s Final Project must be carried out under the supervision of a lecturer at either the Facultat de Matem\u00e0tiques i Inform\u00e0tica<\/a> (UB) or the Departament de Matem\u00e0tiques<\/a> (UAB). Subject to prior approval from the Master’s Coordinating Commission, it is possible to enrol in up to 18 credits in other master’s programs. See Curriculum<\/em> for details.<\/span><\/p>\n
