Quality System

The commitment of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science to ensure the quality of its teachings has a history that began in the mid-nineties with the establishment of criteria and the use of indicators, in clear harmony with the evaluation models used by European countries with a longer tradition in institutional evaluation.

Now that the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) has been consolidated and, in accordance with the standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the EHEA (ESG) adopted by the Ministers of Education in 2005 in Bergen, institutions must have a policy and associated processes to ensure the quality and standards of their programs and degrees.

As a result, the Faculty has renewed its commitment by defining and documenting the different mechanisms and processes necessary to carry out the design and approval of degrees, facilitate the monitoring process—and, if necessary, the modification process of degrees—and ensure the continuous improvement of their quality based on the analysis of objective data. Furthermore, in accordance with the principles of quality and transparency (ESG 1.7), the Faculty has established procedures to publish updated, impartial, and objective information about the degrees, directed to various stakeholder groups.
